Customer release notes for SafeNet ProtectFile v8.5 for Windows and Linux are now available for download. These releases include the following enhancements:
SafeNet ProtectFile Windows v8.5
- Support for Windows Server 2016
- Support for mounted volume as soft link
- Support for double-byte for file and folder names
- Enabling multi-lingual support other than just English
- Support for time based access policies
- Example, allow encryption & decryption for HR applications only between 8am and 5pm, Mon thru Fri

Centralized repo tested kernels –
- We pull new kernels and validate and upload our external repo
- Customers can download the kernels to their repo and yum them as needed

Support for new error replacement behavior (For both Oracle and DB2)
- Return FPE formats
Added Chef Automation
- Note this is important for auto-scaling
